Grocery/supermarket: Very important because you (or somebody else) needs to do the daily shopping for food, drinks, etc. One of the largest ones is Supermercado LINDO in the Plaza Rosada. You will find the Plaza Rosada in the main street. There is a parking in front of the plaza and the supermarket is in the back. They have a large amount of products, and many of them important from France as well.

Supermercado Rey is a litle bit further in the mainstreet. Smaller then Lindo. Then you will find almost on every corner a small Dominican grocery, mostly cheaper but they do not have that many products. On the other hand, very nice to visit and to see these shops.

The Plaza Rosada mall has in total around 15 smaller shops and offices with in the middle a bar/restaurant. The Plaza also has the Scotia-Banc and an ATM machine, 24hrs open.

In the Paseo de la Costanera the oldest and largest shopping mall next to the beach you will find a banc, 24hrs ATM machine, jewelry, clothes, souvenir stores, shoe-shop, cigar shop, magazine shop, etc. Its design was inspired by the Tanio Indians. It surrounds a beautiful garden and a fountain where one can admire sculptures by the Guillen Brothers, well-known Dominican artists. More than 40 boutiques, bars, restaurants and various services await. Is a pleasant place to stroll, window shop or sit at a terrace.

In the Paseo de la Costanera Terrenas in Plata selects the best Dominican and foreign artisans: silver jewelry, brand name or fashion jewelry. Natural materials, shells, red or black coral, according to your taste, amber and larimar, from the traditional to the rarest…you won’t be able to resist!
